The Vasa Junior Dancers learn a variety of Swedish folk dances, songs, and cultural customs. The folk dancers are sponsored by the four Vasa Lodges in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
The group performs year-round, while being best known for leading the dancing around the majstång (maypole) at the American Swedish Institute midsommar and Scandinavian Summer Fest fesitvals. Along with a Swedish traditional Saint Lucia celebration that occurs each December.
